Like an electric shock to the community came the news of the sudden and tragic death of Mrs. Agnes Carver Jones, which took place last Wednesday night at her residence in East Falls Church. Mrs. Jones was a woman held in high esteem by most of the residents here. Her work for uplift and progress stand out as a monument to her noble life. Her interest in the N.A.A.C.P., being a captain in the last campaign, in the public school, the study club, and church work will long be remembered by the community here.
