President Joseph Tinner, Secretary E. B. Henderson, Mr. James Dean and Mrs.. Agnes Carver, of Falls Church branch of the N.A.A.C.P., attended an annual ceremony of the Odd Fellows at Herndon by invitation of Mr. G. T. Shirley. Rev. W. J. Howard, of Zion Baptist Church of Washington, delivered a great sermon on "Friendship." Messrs. Tinner, Dean and E. B. Henderson spoke of the work of the N.A.A.C.P., and thirty-four persons signed up as members of the Falls Church branch. On the first Sunday in June the branch will present the cause to the people at Lincoln, Va.
